This was a nice thrift shop find: a working FM/DAB+ portable, with rechargeable battery, and with sufficient charge to try it out. A note on the back says it was designed in Great Brittain and assembled in China.

What is the actual energy consumption? I applied a Teka power supply, that takes 159mW from the mains when no load is connected. I removed the ChargePak from the Pure and connected it. When OFF, mains power consumption is 460mW, when playing DAB+ about 1130mW and when playing FM 1100mW. The power consumption is as high as 4W when the ChargePak is charged.
